As of Monday, March 7th NYC indoor dining patrons no longer have to show proof of vaccine. The policy has been lifted for gyms and entertainment venues as well.

Now it’s time to get rid of the employee mandates in New York City—how many people left NYC because of that? I wonder. There was no nuance to any of these policies. It was a sledge hammer to kill a mosquito.

Owners of individual establishments still have the right to refuse service to anyone who refuses to show proof of vaccine.  Some people who are fearful of COVID  will have an opportunity to stay with other vaccinated folks. It will be interesting to see how many businesses will continue to require vaccines.

Mayor Eric Adams wants to get the city’s economy back on track. Restaurants and nightlife have been devastated by the pandemic. Enough is enough.   If he really wants to help, get rid of the employee mandate!

This is a great move toward restoring New York and giving our citizens the freedom over their own healthcare decisions.
