New York is entering a renaissance period for its hotels. Luxurious and boutique hotels are in development over the five boroughs to welcome the new surge in tourists and business travelers. 12,000 new hotel rooms are expected to open within the next 3 years.
Ritz-Carlton, New York, NoMad is expected to open soon; it will offer guests a world class roof top bar with views of the Manhattan skyline, a spa, 2 restaurants, and 250 rooms. Given the NoMad area was hit especially hard during the pandemic, this is a great testament to the rebirth of its value for tourists and residents.
New York’s first Pendry Hotel (also in Beverly Hills) opened on the West side during the pandemic. The hotel is flourishing according to the management which illustrates the power of taking a significant risk during the pandemic and having it pay-off now. The hotel bar—Bar Pendry—is a hot spot for the young and restless.
